Meet HTA's New Partner

One of the best things about HTA is that it is composed of highly skilled, experienced and amazing professionals. One of the team members that HTA is proud to have is Ben Seeger. Ben joined HTA back in 2008 and since then he has continuously contributed to the success of the firm as well as its clients, especially when it comes to financial planning.

His efforts and dedication towards the company proves that he is destined for big things which is why it is with great pleasure that HTA is proud to announce that Ben Seeger is now one of the partners in the firm.

To know more about the newest leader in HTA, here’s an interview I held with him.

Ben thank you so much for taking the time to sit down with me today, before we get started, on behalf of the team at HTA we wanted to say a very big congratulations on making Partner!

For our clients/associates that may not be aware, are you able to tell us how you moved into financial planning?

Thanks Mel, absolutely! After working within the accounting world for 10 years I discovered that there are a lot of people who don’t understand personal financial planning – things like understanding what insurances they should have and how to plan for retirement. People view financial planning as investment, but in reality, it is focused around strategies, growth, and risk. It is not just turning $50K into $150K, I plan to help people by ensuring they understand the importance of personal wealth and this is achieved through growth and risk strategies, not just getting returns on investments.

As a partner, what are your (short term/long term) goals or plans for the company?

In terms of short term goals, I plan to get a better understanding of our client base and getting in front of as many clients as possible so I can educate them and ensure they have an understanding of their personal wealth. I plan to focus on identifying their needs and provide them with solutions through educating them.

Long term, I see a smooth integration between HTA and HTA Wealth. With HTA s services combined with a wealth solution, there will also be more employment opportunities as the business grows and develops.

What motivates you?

One of the things that motivates me is when I help people. Knowing that my experience and knowledge can be used by others to help them achieve what they want out of life

How would you define success?

My vision of success is setting your own goals and being able to achieve them.

What would you say is one of your main strengths?

My strength is being able to communicate with people and helping them to understand the information at hand, looking at the big picture, and understanding how business can that has an impact on someone’s wealth.

For all of our clients reading this, what are three important reasons for them to seek your services?

  • To have an understanding of what their future will look like and remove the concept of flying blind and hoping it’ll be ok. Removing that uncertainty around ‘hoping’ you’ll have enough to retire.
  • Knowing that you’ve protected you and your family in the event something were to happen. You have peace of mind knowing that they will be looked after.
  • To ensure you are getting the most from your current position and aren’t paying too much, knowing you have the right insurance and on the best mortgage.

Who would you define as being your ideal client?

My ideal client would be mothers and fathers, young families, people running a business or looking to plan and think about the future who have set goals where they want to understand and be guided on how they can achieve these.

What are some of the services that people can expect from you and HTA Wealth?

  • Risk Management, strategies and solutions to reduce risk for you and your family
  • Wealth accumulation strategies, creating plans and directions to work towards your goals
  • Superannuation and investment advice, not paying too much
  • Retirement planning, understanding of what your financial position will be when you finish working

Thanks again Ben, out of curiosity, if you weren’t a Financial Planner, what else would you of liked to of been?

Funny you should ask, growing up I always wanted to be a fireman or someone who serves the community like a policeman or in the army.

We hope you have a better understanding of how amazing our new partner is. When your next in the office, don’t forget to say hi to him and he will gladly respond with a welcoming smile and friendly handshake.
